1. INTRODUCTION : Wearable technology, wearable fashion-ware technology, tech toys are the different name of a same thing which is clothing accessories, wearable commodities and other similar stuff that contain the computing and electronically capabilities. The main purpose of this technology is to improve the functioning of electronic devices and make them more effective with lesser human interaction possible. How this whole process works is not a mystery but simply a couple of devices or things that have same software from a same company and transmit information to each other. A good example would be APPLE I phone and APPLE WATCH.
2. HISTORY: Basically, the wearable technology is the combination of processing and wearable computers. One of the main examples of wearable computers or technology in earlier days would be the calculator watches that became popular among in early eighties. An example would be the use of Bluetooth controlled miniature mikes in earrings somewhere around 2006-2007. Another example would be an exquisitely stylish neck-tie with a hidden camera in its folds so the list goes on and on.
3. Recent developments: There has been extra-ordinary work done in the field of Wearable technology in the recent years. Back in early 2009, The teams from World famous mobile phones manufacturing company Sony Ericson and London college of fashion united and started working on a new and one of its kind line of clothing that will be armed with the latest Bluetooth technology and the use of a high functioning LEDs and glowing material used in the fabric of this unique clothing. The whole purpose of this experiment was to connect this dress to a smart phone via cloth and then the colors would change in case of incoming call. Another company, famous for its fashion-ware, made a KEYBOARD type pants for young women. Another group of students make hoodie type clothing that can send and receive text messages based on the current mood and body language of the person who’s wearing it.
4. Newer trends in wearable technology: With all the experiments done and the new inventions made each and every day, it doesn’t means that it is just for the purpose of competition in different companies. How these things are made now and how these new wearable technologies are advertised, the demand for the wearable fashion-ware and other stuff is increasing day by day. There are many festivals, conventions and gathering that are reserved only for the sake of these wearable technologies. Some examples would be a weeklong festival of wearable technologies in Amsterdam or a discussion held in Fashion Law institute which concentrated in patent rights of different wearable fashion-ware.
5. USAGE: Like hundreds of apps for Smartphone, these wearable technologies also come with tons of possibilities but some of the main uses of these inventions would be to use them as a fashion statement in place of the traditional wristbands or use it track your pulse rate, temperature and hydration level while you are exercising or simply use them to synchronize your data with your other gadgets like Smartphone so when you need to check your face book notification, instead of taking out the Smartphone from your pocket and then opening the face book app, you can simple check you smart watch.
